“We didn’t feel too bad when we weren’t nominated for an Oscar again this year,” said BusinessVoice president Jerry Brown. “After all, we don’t make movies. Never have.” But Brown’s agency did win three Addy Awards at the Advertising Club of Toledo’s award ceremony, held last night (2/21) at the Owens Community College Center for Fine and Performing Arts.

BusinessVoice, which was also shut out at the recent Grammy Awards, Golden Globes and Emmys, People’s Choice Awards, Screen Actors Guild and Directors Guild Awards, ESPYs, CMAs, and MTV Movie Awards, was honored with one Gold and two Silver Addy Awards for On Hold Messaging it created for two area clients – Amazing Space and The Kellermeyer Company. Their in-house web agency received an Honorable Mention for its creation of the Tuffy Auto Service Centers website.

“I know we work in marketing,” said Brown, “but after our Addy wins here tonight, I think we’ve got a real shot at the Stanley Cup.”
