Mearl Sutton


Mearl has a long history with the agencies of MadAveGroup. He was the original Sales Manager for BusinessVoice beginning in the late 1980s. After several years away, he returned to take over as our Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of National Accounts.  He serves as a consultant to the MadAveGroup team today.

He has varied areas of expertise: sales, sales management, training, sales coaching, strategic selling, national account management, business development, supplier management, and business strategy.

His foundation is built upon Miller Heiman’s Conceptual Selling and Strategic Selling, Neal Rackham’s SPIN Selling, The Challenger Sale model, Jeb Blount’s Fanatical Prospecting, and Chris Voss’s Never Split the Difference.

Mearl’s successful sales and leadership experience range from start-ups to multi-billion-dollar companies.  In addition to running Sales Coach LLC, Mearl is a Teaching Professor at Bowling Green State University and is the founder of the BGSU Academy of Professional Selling.

Mearl serves on the boards of Madison Avenue Marketing Group and Knight Surgical.
